Nine males arrested following disorder in Ayr

Nine males have been arrested following an investigation into disorder which occurred in River Street in Ayr.

The incident occurred prior to a local football match on Friday, 9 May, 2025.

Those arrested have been charged in connection with mobbing and rioting. They are aged 15, 22, 25, two aged 27, 28, 51, 52 and 55.

The males were released on an undertaking and will appear at court at a later date. 
 
Enquiries remain ongoing.
