Man convicted of serious sexual offences in Glasgow and Johnstone
A man has been convicted of serious sexual offences at the High Court in Glasgow.
Steven Agnew, 21, was found guilty of committing offences, including rape, against two female victims in the Johnstone and Glasgow areas between November 2020 and December 2021.
He was convicted on Wednesday, 11 June, 2025, and is due to be sentenced on Tuesday, 8 July.
Detective Inspector Euan McMillan said: "Steven Agnew is now facing the consequences of the harm he caused through his abhorrent actions.
"This outcome was made possible thanks to the two victims who came forward and reported him. We hope this conviction provides some form of closure and helps them to move forward.
"Police Scotland remains committed to investigating all reports of sexual crime. Anyone who comes forward will be treated with professionalism and supported by specially trained officers and partner agencies.
"There is no time limit on reporting, regardless of when it happened, please contact us so we can fully investigate."
