Man arrested following drugs and weapons find - Tranent
A 34-year-old man has been arrested and charged following the recovery of drugs and weapons from an address in Tranent.
Around 9.40am on Thursday, 26 June 2025, local community policing officers executed a warrant at a property on Northfield in the town.
Two stun guns, one air gun, several knives and other weapons, a quantity of street diazepam with an estimated value of £5000, and a sum of cash were recovered.
The man appeared at court today and was released on bail.
Sgt Ryan Gilhooly, said: “Drugs cause misery in our communities, and we are determined to disrupt the supply of illegal substances and trace those involved. We will continue to work tirelessly to tackle the supply of illegal drugs and seize dangerous weapons which can be used for criminal purposes.
