Man arrested and charged in connection with death of woman in Inverness

A 30-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the death of a woman in Inverness.

Around 7.30pm on Sunday, 1 June, 2025, we were called to Craigton Avenue in the city after reports of two injured people at a property.

The injured man, aged 55, and woman, aged 52, were taken to Raigmore Hospital to be treated for serious injuries.

On Monday, 2 June, the 30-year-old was charged in connection with the attempted murder of the two injured people.

The woman died in hospital later that day and the 30-year-old man has now been charged in connection with her death.

He is expected to appear at Inverness Sheriff Court on Tuesday, 3 June.
