Fatal crash on Blaeberryhill Road at Glenmore, Whitburn

Road Policing officers are appealing for information following a fatal crash on Blaeberryhill Road at Glenmore, Whitburn.

Around 5.55pm on Friday, 6 June, 2025, officers received a report of a crash involving a Volvo XC90.

Emergency services attended however the 71-year-old male driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 74-year-old woman who was passenger in the car was taken to hospital to be checked over.

Sergeant Jamie Humpage said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died and our enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.

“I am appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash who hasn’t already spoken to officers to please get in touch.

“I would also ask anyone who was in the area at the time and may have dash-cam footage which could assist to contact us.”
