Drugs worth over £6,000 recovered in Dumfries
Two people have been arrested and charged after detectives in Dumfries executed a warrant at a property in Annan on Tuesday, 10 June, 2025.
A quantity of cocaine with an estimated street value of £6,000 and cannabis estimated to be worth £400 was recovered from the address in Standalane, Annan.
A 33-year-old man and a 46-year-old woman were arrested and charged in connection. They are due to appear at Dumfries Sheriff Court on Wednesday, 11 June, 2025.
The 33-year-old man was also charged in connection with a serious assault following an incident on Sunday, 1 June, 2025 at Queensberry Street, Annan. A 27-year-old man was taken to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary for treatment.
Detective Inspector Scott Wilson said: "Drugs cause misery in our communities, and we are determined to disrupt the supply of illegal substances and trace those involved.
"This recovery means a significant quantity of drugs will not end up on our streets and underlines our commitment to the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country's Serious Organised Crime Strategy.
