Drugs worth around £1.3 million recovered in Greenock
Drugs with an estimated street value of £1,306,200 have been recovered at an address in Greenock.
On Thursday, 5 June, 2025, officers searched a property under warrant in Clarence Street. An extensive cannabis cultivation was discovered inside.
Five men aged 17, 23, 26, 38 and 50 were arrested and charged in connection with drug offences. They appeared at Greenock Sheriff Court on Friday, 6 June, 2025.
Sergeant Gary Arthur said: “This is a significant recovery and is an example of our efforts to disrupt the trade in illegal drugs in Scotland.
“It also underlines our commitment to the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country’s Serious Organised Crime Strategy.
“We would continue to urge anyone with information or concerns about drugs and firearms activity in their area to contact Police Scotland on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
