Appeal for information following serious assault in Alexandria

Officers are appealing for information following a serious assault in Alexandria.

The incident happened around 10pm on Sunday, 29 June, 2025, on Halkett Crescent.

A 52-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment.

The suspect is described as in his 50s, 5ft 6in, slim build with short dark hair. He was with a woman, and they were seen heading off on Heather Avenue towards the River Leven.

Detective Constable John Pryde said: “Enquiries are ongoing, and we are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this to contact us.

“We also ask anyone with private CCTV or dash-cam footage of the area at the time to come forward.”
