Appeal following fatal crash in Hamilton
Road policing officers are appealing for information following a fatal crash on Meikle Earnock Road, Hamilton.
The incident happened around 12.35am on Sunday, 1 June, 2025 and involved a pedestrian and a silver Skoda Octavia.
Emergency services attended and the pedestrian, a 43-year-old man, was conveyed to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he died a short time later. His next of kin are aware.
The driver was uninjured.
The road was closed to allow for crash investigation work and re-opened around 8am on Sunday, 1 June.
Sergeant John Houston said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died at this very difficult time.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances, and we are appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash to contact us.
“We also ask anyone driving in the area at the time to check if they have dash-cam footage that can help with our investigation.”
