Biker dies after crash on A82 near Lochend, Inverness
A 57-year-old man has died after a crash involving a campervan and a motorbike in Inverness.
Around 4.30pm on Thursday, 19 June, 2025, police received a report of a crash on the A82 at Lochend involving a white Peugeot campervan and a blue BMW motorbike.
Emergency services attended and Steven Twizell, the rider of the motorbike, was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary where he died on Thursday, 26 June.
Mr Twizell was from Armadale in West Lothian, His family have asked for privacy at this difficult time.
The 46-year-old male driver of the campervan was taken to hospital as a precaution and has since been discharged. He has been arrested in connection with a road traffic offence and enquiries are ongoing.
