Woman who died following Airdrie collision named as Maureen Dunn
A woman who died following a fatal collision in Airdrie has been named as Maureen Dunn, 68, from the local area.
The crash happened around 6.45pm on Saturday, 28 June, 2025, on the A89, Clark Street, near the junction with Springwells Avenue.
Mauren was the passenger of a black Audi A4 involved in the collision with a blue BMW M2. She was taken to University Hospital Wishaw where she died on Friday, 4 July.
The driver of the Audi, a 67-year-old man was taken to University Hospital Monklands and was later discharged. The occupants of the BMW were assessed by paramedics at the scene.
Road Policing Sergeant Ross Allison said: “Our thoughts remain with Maureen’s family and friends at this very difficult time.
“Our enquiries remain ongoing to establish the full circumstances of this incident. I’d like to thank everyone who has provided information so far and ask anyone else who saw what happened or has dash-cam footage to come forward.”
