Woman charged in connection with death of Mark Blackwood in Ayr

The 40-year-old woman arrested in connection with the death of Mark Blackwood in Ayr has been charged.

Around 8.10pm on Saturday, 5 July, 2025, we were called to a report of a 42-year-old man found seriously injured in a flat in Glenmuir Place.

Mark was pronounced dead at the scene.

The woman is due to appear at Ayr Sheriff Court on Friday, 18 July, 2025.
