Two men jailed for drug offences in the North East
Two men have been sentenced in relation to drug offences in Aberdeen.
Dean Alford, 31, and Rory Morgan, 32, plead guilty to being concerned in the supply of class A drugs and in the possession a four-figure sum of cash at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Thursday, 20 June, 2024.
Rory Morgan was sentenced at Inverness High Court on Tuesday, 8 July, 2025 to 3 years and 4 months in prison.
Dean Alford was sentenced at the same court on Wednesday, 18 June, 2025 to 5 years and 7 months.
Following a County Lines intelligence operation, officers executed warrants at addresses on Esslemont Avenue and Granton Place, Aberdeen on Wednesday, 19 June, 2024. Class A drugs with an estimated value of £35,000 and cash of the sum of £9,715 were recovered.
Detective Sergeant Sam Harris said: “This sentencing reflects our continued commitment to tackling the illegal supply of drugs in the North East. It also highlights our dedication to the Serious and Organised Crime Taskforce and the country’s Serious Organised Crime Strategy.
“Being concerned in the supply of class A drugs is illegal, and we will use the full extent of the powers available to anyone that involves themselves in this kind of offending.
“Information from the public is crucial in helping us to combat those involved in drugs activity in our communities, and it is only when working together we can tackle drug dealing activity.”
