Man who died in Aberdeen named as Dylan Geddes
The 24-year-old man who died in Aberdeen has been named as Dylan Geddes from the Northfield area.
Around 12.35am on Thursday, 10 July, 2025, officers were called to a report of a man found seriously injured in the Pennan Road area following a disturbance at a property in Coningham Terrace.
Emergency services attended and Dylan was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
His family has released the following statement via Police Scotland:
“Dylan was a much-loved son, grandson, brother and nephew. He will be sorely missed every day by all who knew him. The family is absolutely devastated by what has happened and would like privacy at this difficult time.”
Following the results of a post-mortem examination, Dylan’s death is being treated as murder.
A 25-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the death and is due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Monday, 14 July, 2025.
Detective Inspector James Callander from the Major Investigation Team said: "Our thoughts remain with Dylan’s family and friends at this extremely difficult time. Specially trained officers continue to offer support and keep them updated with our investigation.
"I’d like to thank the local community for their support and reassure them that additional officers remain in the area as part of our enquiries. Anyone with concerns can approach these officers.”
