Man convicted of culpable homicide following death in Wishaw
A man has been convicted of the death of a 47-year-old man in Wishaw
John Forsyth, aged 29, was found guilty of culpable homicide on Monday, 28 July, 2025 following a trial at the High Court in Glasgow. He will be sentenced later.
Barry Evans was found injured at a property in the Netherton area of the town on Monday, 28 November, 2022, and taken to hospital where he later died.
Detective Chief Inspector Jonathan Wright said: “I hope this conviction brings some comfort to the family and friends of Mr Evans.
“He was subjected to a violent attack which left him with serious injuries from which he later died.
“Violence is never acceptable in our communities and we will continue to work tirelessly to bring those responsible to justice.”
