A 30-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with a serious assault in Galashiels.

 

The incident happened around 5pm on Saturday, 5 July, 2025, on Melrose Road.

 

A 47-year-old man was taken to Borders General Hospital for treatment. 

 

The 30-year-old man is due to appear at Selkirk Sheriff Court on Monday, 18 August, 2025.
