Investigation into suspicious fire in Alexandria

Officers are appealing for information following a wilful fire-raising in Alexandria.

Around 11.40pm, police received a report of a fire which occurred at a car garage on Levenbank Road, Jamestown on Wednesday, 9 July, 2025.

A man was seen in the area around the time of the incident, he was wearing dark clothing with his hood up and light-coloured trainers which were possibly white or grey.

Officers are appealing for anyone who may have seen or heard anything to get in touch. If anyone has doorbell recording equipment or dash cams, please check your footage as it may have captured something significant.
