Enquiries into a road crash in Annan
Road Policing officers are appealing for information following a crash in Annan.
Around 12.50pm on Saturday, 12 July, 2025, police received a report of a crash involving a male cyclist and a Peugeot Rifter on High Street in Annan.
Emergency services attended and the 9-year-old cyclist was taken to hospital where medical staff describe his condition as serious but stable.
The 75-year-old male driver of the car did not require medical treatment.
The road had to be closed to allow collision investigation.
Sergeant Colin Ramage from Road Policing said: “I would appeal to anyone who was in the area around the time of the collision to get in touch with us. All information is relevant as we work to establish full circumstances of what has happened.”
