Appeal for information following serious assault in Arbroath

Officers are appealing for information following a serious assault in Arbroath.

The incident happened around 2pm on Wednesday, 2 July, 2025, on West Abbey Street.

A 23-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment.

The suspect is described as a white man, around 5ft 9in tall, of medium build, with short black hair. He was wearing black clothing.

Constable Kim Ross said: “Enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who witnessed this to contact us.

“We also ask anyone with private CCTV or dash-cam footage of the area at the time to come forward.”
