Appeal following serious assault on Scott’s Place in Melrose
Officers are appealing for information following a serious assault in Melrose.
The incident happened between 10pm and 11pm on Saturday, 26 July, when a 40-year-old man was assaulted by another man outside a property on Scott’s Place.
He was taken to the Borders General Hospital and released following treatment.
The suspect is described as white, aged mid thirties and was wearing a khaki green Regatta jacket, black Adidas joggers with a white stripe, a black and white snood and a khaki coloured Under Armour cap.
Detective Sergeant Liam Myers said: “Enquiries are ongoing to trace the man described and we are asking anyone in the area at the time of the assault who may have information that could assist to get in touch.
“Please check any private CCTV or dash-cam footage that you have to see if anything has been captured that could help with our investigation.”
