Appeal following housebreaking and theft of car in Helensburgh
Detectives are appealing for information following a housebreaking and theft in Helensburgh.
The incident occurred on Tuesday, 29 July, 2025 at a property on Strathclyde Court and is believed to have happened some time before 4pm.
Entry was gained and a quantity of jewellery was stolen along with car keys. A red Toyota Auris, with a registration number of SG18 SVK, was driven away from the property at around 11.40pm on the same day.
It was reported that when driving away, the vehicle crashed into other parked cars so may have damage to the front.
Detective Constable John Pryde said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to trace the car and those responsible, and we are appealing to anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area or has any information that could assist to contact us.
“We would also ask anyone with dash-cam, ring doorbell or private CCTV to check their footage from Tuesday and get in touch if they have captured anything that could assist our investigation.”
