Appeal following crash involving car and pedestrian in Kilmarnock
Road Policing officers are appealing for information following a crash involving a car and a pedestrian in Kilmarnock.
The incident happened around 1.25pm on Sunday, 29 June, 2025, on the A735, Kilmaurs Road, north of the Altonhill roundabout. The car involved was a white Volkswagen Tiguan.
Emergency services attended and the pedestrian, an 18-year-old woman, was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. She has since been discharged.
The road was closed for a number of hours for enquiries to be carried out.
Constable Kieran Boyle said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the exact circumstances of this collision.
“I would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time who may have witnessed the incident to please contact. In addition, motorists who may have relevant dash-cam footage are asked to get in touch.”
