Appeal following car fire in Plains, Airdrie
Detectives are appealing for information after a vehicle was set on fire in Airdrie.
Around 12.20am on Wednesday, 9 July, 2025, we received a report of a car on fire outside a property on Bruce Street, Plains.
The fire was extinguished by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and there were no reports of any injuries.
The fire is being treated as wilful and enquiries are ongoing.
Detective Constable David Williamson said: “I am appealing to anyone who may have any information or who saw anything around the time which could assist, to contact us.
“I would also appeal to anyone who dash-cam footage or private CCTV to get in touch.”
