Man who died following crash on B842 named
A 25-year-old man who died following a crash on the B842 at Knocknaha near Stewarton, by Campbeltown has been named as Jamie Green.
The crash happened around 4pm on Monday, 6 January, 2025, involving a red BMW car.
Emergency services attended and Mr Green, a passenger, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 23-year-old driver was taken to hospital for treatment.
Mr Green’s family has issued the following statement:
“Jamie was our beloved son, brother, nephew, cousin and friend who was taken from us so tragically. Our hearts are truly broken.
“Jamie had the kindest heart and lived his short life to the fullest. He will be missed by so many. We have been overwhelmed by the support shown and the many kind words that have been shared by those who knew Jamie.”
Sergeant Archie McGuire said: “Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of Mr Green at this difficult time.
“Our enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash to contact us.
“We also ask anyone with dash-cam footage of the area at the time to come forward.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting reference 1982 of 6 January, 2025.”
