Update - fatal crash on Castlebank Street, Glasgow

A 49-year-old man arrested in connection with a fatal crash on Castlebank Street in Glasgow has been released pending further enquiries.

The crash happened around 8.45pm on Tuesday, 2 December, 2025, at a crossing island near to the entrance for Burger King and Starbucks.

The 26-year-old female pedestrian was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital but pronounced dead a short time after arrival.
