Three convicted in connection with death of Ryan Munro in Dundee

Three people have been convicted in connection with the death of 36-year-old Ryan Munro in Dundee in January, 2024.
Stephen Stewart, 52, Victoria McGowan, 43, and Jennifer Souter (pictured), 39, were found guilty of culpable homicide at the High Court in Edinburgh on Friday, 19 December, 2025.
All three were also convicted of drugs offences and they will be sentenced at a later date.
The court heard they had gone to Stewart and McGowan's flat in the Morgan Street area of Dundee on 10 January, 2024. Ryan Munro sustained serious injuries after falling from a window and died later in hospital.
Detective Chief Inspector Craig Kelly said: “Our thoughts remain with the family of Ryan Munro and I hope this conviction brings them a sense of comfort and justice.
“This was a complex and multi-faceted investigation to find out the circumstances leading up to Ryan’s death and establish who was responsible.
“Violence and intimidation in any form is not acceptable in our communities and these three will now face the consequences of their actions.
“I would like to thank all officers who worked on this difficult case.”
