Appeal after woman died in Glasgow's south side crash
Officers are continuing to appeal for information after a woman died following a crash on Pollokshaws Road, Glasgow.
The incident happened around 7.45pm on Friday, 12 December, 2025, and involved a Triumph Bonneville motorbike and a female pedestrian on the A77 Pollokshaws Road at the junction with Queen Square.
Emergency services attended and the 74-year-old pedestrian and the 52-year-old male rider were taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.
The woman died in hospital on Sunday, 21 December, 2025.
Her family is aware and has asked for privacy.
The road was closed to allow enquiries to be carried out and re-opened around 12.30am on Saturday, 13 December 2025.
Sergeant Jack Swindells said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the woman who died in this crash.
“Our enquiries remain ongoing to establish the full circumstances and I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash and hasn’t already spoken to officers to contact us.
“I would also ask anyone who was in the area and may have dash cam or private CCTV which could assist to review this and contact us with anything relevant.”
