Man jailed for seriously assaulting woman in Aberdeen
A man has been jailed for six years and four months for seriously assaulting a woman in Aberdeen.
Albert Massie, 35, attacked the woman at a property on Princes Street in the city on Thursday, 7 November, 2024.
He was sentenced at the High Court in Edinburgh on Wednesday, 10 December, 2025 after pleading guilty to assaulting the woman and endangering her life.
He has also been given a non-harassment order for an indefinite period.
Detective Chief Inspector Steven McDonald said: “Massie is an abusive individual who carried out a violent and vicious attack, for which he now faces the consequences of his actions.
"Domestic abuse can cause lasting harm and tackling this type of offending remains a priority for Police Scotland.
"I would encourage anyone who has experienced domestic abuse to report it to Police Scotland. Every report is taken seriously and will be fully investigated.”
