Man charged in connection with fireraisings in Edinburgh

A man has been arrested and charged in connection with Operation Portaledge, bringing the total number of arrests to 63.

The 31-year-old has been arrested and charged in connection with three fireraisings on Niddrie Marischal Crescent, Pitcairn Grove and Prestonfield Crescent, all in Edinburgh, which happened on Thursday, 17 April, 2025.

A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

He is due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Wednesday, 24 December, 2025.
