Man arrested and charged following drug recovery in Port Glasgow

A 52-year-old man has been arrested and charged following a drugs recovery in Port Glasgow.

On Friday, 5 December, 2025, officers from the Inverclyde Priority Policing Team, with the assistance of PD Toby, executed a warrant at an address on Staffa Avenue.

Heroin with a street value of £12,500 was recovered.

The 52-year-old is due to appear at Greenock Sheriff Court at a later date.

Sergeant Gary Arthur said: “This was a significant recovery that has been kept from our streets.

“Drugs are a blight on our community, and we remain committed to disrupting their supply. 

“We encourage anyone with information or concerns about drug-related activity in their area to contact Police Scotland on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
