No crime established in Fife sexual assault report

On Sunday, 7 December, 2025, we received a report of a serious sexual assault in the Abbots Mill area of Kirkcaldy.

Extensive enquiries have been carried out, including examination of CCTV footage and door to door enquiries, and no crime has been established.

Detective Inspector Kieran Marsh said: "I wish to thank the local community for their assistance in our investigation.

"We have carried out extensive enquiries and are satisfied we are no longer investigating criminality."
