Officers in Ayrshire are continuing to appeal for information to help in tracing missing man Jason Anderson.

The 33-year-old, who was reported missing on Thursday, 18 December, 2025, was last seen around 6pm on Friday, 12 December, in Catrine.

Officers have been reviewing CCTV footage and carrying out door to door enquiries in the local area as work continues to trace Jason.

Local officers have been supported in these enquiries by specialist resources, including the police helicopter and drones, mountain rescue teams and officers searching on quad bikes.

In a statement released through Police Scotland, Jason's brother Frankie said: “We want nothing more than the safe return of Jason.

"It's been an extremely difficult couple of weeks, wondering where Jason is and hoping he is ok.

"Please, if anyone has any information at all that could help bring my brother home, contact the police.

“Jason, if you see this message, please get in contact as we just want to know you are safe."

Chief Inspector Stuart Dougan said: “Jason has now been missing for a significant amount of time and is it out of character for him not to be in contact with family or friends, especially over the festive period.

“I’d urge anyone who may have seen Jason, or a man matching his description, to report any sightings to us.

"Anyone with any information about his whereabouts should contact police immediately.”

Jason is described as around 5ft 7ins, of medium build with short, fair hair.

Anyone with information should call 101 quoting incident number 0991 of 18 December, 2025.
