Four convicted of murder following death in Dundee
A woman and three men have been convicted of murder following the death of 43-year-old Steven Hutton in Dundee.
Carri Stewart, aged 44, Brian Miller, aged 29, Scott Henderson, aged 40, and Barry Murray, aged 45, were found guilty of murder at the High Court in Glasgow on Monday, 8 December, 2025.




All four were sentenced to 20 years in prison.
Around 11pm on Saturday, 30 March, 2024, Steven Hutton was in his flat on Charleston Road in Dundee when Stewart, Miller, Henderson and Murray forced entry.
He was attacked and sustained serious injuries. He was taken to Ninewells Hospital, Dundee, where he died a short time later.
Detective Inspector Richard Baird, senior investigating officer, said: “This was an unprovoked attack that cost Steven Hutton his life.
“We hope this conviction brings some form of comfort to Steven’s family.
“Those responsible will now face the consequences of their actions.
“We remain committed to bringing those responsible for violent acts to justice.”
