Appeal after van set on fire in West Dunbartonshire

Detectives are appealing for information following a wilful vehicle fire in West Dunbartonshire.

Around 1am on Friday, 26 December, 2025, we received a report of a white Mercedes Sprinter van on fire in Scott Avenue, Bowling.

Emergency services attended and the fire was extingushed. There were no reports of any injuries.

Detective Constable Darren Boag said: “Enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who may have seen anything to contact us.

“We’d also ask anyone with private CCTV of Scott Avenue to come forward.”
