Detectives appeal for information following attempted robbery in Gartcosh

Detectives are appealing for information following an attempted robbery in Gartcosh. 

Around 10.25pm on Monday, 22 December, two men forced entry to a property on Greenhill Avenue and made demands, however nothing was taken. There were no reports of any injuries. 

The men, both wearing balaclavas, made off in a silver saloon-type vehicle. They were both wearing black clothing and one had a bladed weapon. 

Detective Constable Scott Brown said: “This was a terrifying ordeal for two people in their own home. 

“Extensive enquiries are ongoing, including door to door and CCTV footage examination, and we are now appealing for the help of the public. 

“If you may have witnessed anything, or have CCTV or dash-cam footage from the area, please contact us.”
