Arrests made following retail crime day of action in Dundee and Perth
Multiple arrests have been made as part of a day of action across Dundee and Perth.
Officers carried out engagement visits at more than 40 retailers on Saturday, 29 November, 2025.
A 38-year-old man was arrested in connection with 18 offences including theft by shoplifting, theft by housebreaking and three assaults of retail workers.
A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
A 38-year-old woman was arrested and charged in connection with 21 offences, including theft by shoplifting, breach of bail and being in possession of a weapon.
She was due to appear at Dundee Sheriff Court on Monday, 1 December, 2025.
Another woman, aged 30, was arrested in connection with a theft by shoplifting and was due to appear at the same court on the same date on a separate matter.
Two women, aged 32 and 33, will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal in connection with shoplifting offences.
A quantity of counterfeit money was also seized from a premises on High Street, Perth. Enquiries are ongoing.
Detective Sergeant David Feeney said: “Tackling shoplifting and other forms of retail crime is a priority in our communities, and local officers will continue to work alongside the Retail Crime Taskforce, and other partners, to identify offenders and bring them to justice.”
