Appeal for information following serious crash on Causeyside Street in Paisley

Road policing officers are appealing for information following a serious crash on Causeyside Street in Paisley on Wednesday, 10 December, 2025.

The incident happened around 12.10pm near the junction with Stow Brae and involved a pedestrian and a Kia Picanto car.

Emergency services attended and the pedestrian, an 88-year-old woman, was taken to hospital with serious injuries. Her condition is described as critical.

No one else was injured.

The road was closed for crash investigation work and re-opened around 6pm.

Sergeant Fraser McEwan said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and we are keen to speak to anyone who saw what happened.

“If you were driving in the area please also check any dash-cam you have to see if anything has been captured that could assist with our investigation.”
