Appeal for information following serious crash in Motherwell
Police are appealing for information following a crash in Motherwell.
The crash happened on Burnside Road, Newarthill, around 1.50am on Saturday, 13 December, 2025 and involved a grey Skoda Karoq and a male pedestrian who had just exited a taxi.
Emergency services attended and the 66-year-old pedestrian was taken to University Hospital Wishaw and later transferred to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where his condition is described as critical but stable.
Sergeant Ross Allison said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.
“I am appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash and haven’t already spoken to police to get in touch.
“I would also ask anyone who was in the area and who may have dash cam or private CCTV which could assist to contact us.”
