Appeal for information following robbery and assault in Penicuik

Detectives are appealing for information following a robbery and assault in Penicuik.

The incident happened around 2.05pm on Tuesday, 23 December, 2025, near the entrance to a car park on St Kentigern Way.

Personal items and a three-figure sum of cash were taken. There was no requirement for medical treatment.

One suspect is described as male, around 30 to 35-years-old, around 6ft tall, and was wearing an orange hi-vis jacket. The other suspect is described as male and around 35 to 40-years-old. He was wearing a black jumper with white and red writing, and jeans.

Detective Constable Garry Mauran said: “Enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to contact us.

“We’d also appeal to anyone with dash-cam footage that could assist our enquiries to come forward.”
