Appeal for information following fatal crash in on B6397 near Kelso

Officers are appealing for information following a fatal crash on the B6397 near Kelso.

The crash happened around 7.40pm on Saturday, 20 December, 2025, and involved a black Vauxhall Astra.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

The road was closed and reopened around 4.40am on Sunday, 21 December, 2025.

Sergeant Jamie Humpage said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the person who has died at this difficult time.

“Enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash to contact us.

“We’d also ask anyone driving in the area with dash-cam footage to come forward.”
