Appeal following two housebreakings in Glenrothes
Officers in Fife are appealing for information following two housebreakings during which substantial amounts of cash were stolen.
The first incident happened at a property on Keith Drive, Glenrothes, on Wednesday, 26 November, 2025.
Entry was forced to the property and a five-figure sum of cash and electrical items were stolen.
A second incident happened at a property on Parbroath Road, Glenrothes, during the evening of Thursday, 27 November, 2025.
Entry was forced and a five-figure sum of cash, gold jewellery and three designer watches were stolen.
The incidents are being treated as linked and officers are keen to hear from anyone who saw any suspicious behaviour around the areas in the days in the lead up to the incidents.
Inspector Callum Winton said: “These housebreakings have both occurred when the householders were out and the properties were unoccupied.
“We believe a black Audi S3 was in the Parbroath Road area during the time of the incident. I’m keen to hear from anyone who may have captured this vehicle on private CCTV or doorbell systems or has any information that can assist with our enquiries.
“We would recommend that those choosing to store significantly valuable items within their home invest in robust security measures such as safes, alarms and motion-activated lighting.
“In addition, where possible we encourage the use of safety deposit boxes out-with your home address, or if this is not a viable option, then please consider using a safe storage option, which is approved by your insurer.
