Appeal following theft of car in Arbroath and crash in Dundee
Officers are appealing for information after a car was stolen from a property in Arbroath and later involved in a crash in Dundee.
The car, a blue BMW 320, was stolen from outside a property on an unnamed road off the A92 at Inverkeilor between 7pm and 8pm on Sunday, 28 December, 2025.
Enquiries so far have established the car crashed into a wall in Pitkerro Road, Dundee, around 9.10pm on the same date.
The car was then traced in Bingham Terrace, Dundee, a short time later.
The driver left the scene prior to police arrival. No injuries have been reported and extensive enquiries are ongoing to trace the driver.
Police Constable Kim Ross said: “Enquiries are ongoing to trace the driver of the car, and we are appealing to anyone with information to get in touch.
“I’d ask for that those with private CCTV or dash-cam footage in any of the areas mentioned check this for a car matching the description.”
