Appeal following theft at premises in Dundee

Officers are appealing for information following a theft by housebreaking in Dundee.

The incident happened between the evening of Monday, 15 December, and early hours of Tuesday, 16 December, at a premises in the Luna Place area.

Following enquiries, it has been established that a male suspect dressed in dark clothing smashed a window of the premises around 7.50pm on Monday before making off with a number of power tools.

Around 10.15pm, he returned, accompanied by another male suspect. They were seen climbing a fence and re-entering the premises before making off with more power tools.

The two men appeared for a third time around 12am on Tuesday and stole similar items.

They were seen making off towards the Riverside Avenue area and possibly towards Dundee city centre on each occasion.

Constable Nick Revill said: “These were high-value thefts and we are carrying out extensive enquiries to identify those responsible.

“I would appeal to anyone who may have been in the area around the time of these incidents to please contact us if you noticed anything suspicious, such as two individuals carrying heavy bags or boxes.

“Nearby roads would’ve been busy at the time of the thefts so we are looking for anyone who may have witnessed anything or who has relevant CCTV or dash-cam footage to please come forward.”
