Appeal following serious crash in Ayrshire

Police are appealing for information following a serious crash in Ayrshire.

The crash happened on the A713, between Hollybush and Polnessan, around 4.45pm on Saturday, 13 December, 2025 and involved a black Vauxhall Mokka and a female pedestrian.

Emergency services attended and the female pedestrian was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where her condition is described as critical.

Sergeant Gordon Stewart said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.

“I am appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash and haven’t already spoken to police to get in touch.

“I would also ask anyone who was in the area and who may have dash cam or private CCTV which could assist to contact us.”

Anyone with any information is asked to contact 101 quoting reference 2423 of 13 December, 2025.
