Appeal after man found assaulted in Dunoon

Officers are appealing for information after a man was seriously assaulted in Dunoon.

The incident happened in the early hours of Monday, 29 December, on or near Marine Parade in the town.

The exact time of the assault is not known but a 27-year-old man was found injured around 2.50 am and taken to hospital for treatment.

Constable David Purdon said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to establish how the man came to be injured and we are asking anyone who saw something to get in touch.

“If you have private CCTV footage covering the area around Marine Parade please check to see if something has been captured that could help with our investigation.

“In addition, if you were driving in the area please also check dash-cam footage and make contact with us if you can assist with our enquiries.”
