Appeal after attempts to gain entry to properties in Inverurie

Officers are appealing for information after attempts were made to gain entry to properties in Inverurie.

The incidents happened between 10pm on Monday, 22 December and 3am on Tuesday, 23 December, at properties in the Rutherford Folds, Middle Park and Middlemuir Road areas.

The incidents are being treated as linked and enquiries are ongoing

Sergeant Mark Adam said: “We understand this is concerning for those who live in the area and our enquiries are ongoing to trace the person responsible.

“I would ask anyone who has any information, dash cam or private CCTV footage that could assist to contact us.

“We also advise residents to take measures to protect their home by keeping their property locked, closing windows, and considering the installation of CCTV or doorbell cameras. Keep valuables out of sight and have security lights fitted if possible.”
