Woman jailed for drug offences in Elgin
A woman has been sentenced to five years in prison for drugs offences.
Pamela Paterson, 45, plead guilty to having been concerned in the supply of drugs at the High Court in Edinburgh last month. She was sentenced on Tuesday, 30 December, 2025 at the same court.
On 23 March, 2023, detectives, working on intelligence, searched two properties in Elgin and found cocaine and amphetamine with a street value of £102,000.
Further enquiries revealed Paterson had been involved in transporting drugs from Elgin to Glasgow between July 2022 and March 2023.
Detective Sergeant Jamie Stewart said: “Drugs can have a devastating impact on our communities, and this result underlines our determination to remove these harmful substances off our streets and hold those involved in their supply accountable.
“It also highlights our continued commitment to the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country’s Serious and Organised Crime Strategy.
“Information from the public is vital to our work and we would continue to urge people to report any concerns to us.
“We will continue to use every tool and tactic at our disposal to deter this activity and protect our communities from the harm that illegal drugs can cause.”
