Dundee man jailed for rapes and violent offending against women

A 34-year-old man has been sentenced to eight years in prison for carrying out multiple rapes and violent assaults against five women in Dundee over a period of 14 years.

Cameron McGregor was jailed at the High Court in Dundee on Monday, 22 December, 2025 after being found guilty at the same court last month.

His offending started in 2008 when he was just 16 years old.

Detective Inspector Gordon Patullo said: "McGregor is an abusive individual who subjected his victims to years of horrific offending, and he will now face the consequences of his actions.

"Tackling this type of offending remains a priority for Police Scotland and I would encourage anyone who has experienced abuse to report it to Police Scotland.

"Every report is taken seriously and will be fully investigated, with support available from partner agencies, including Rape Crisis Scotland and Scottish Women's Aid."

Anyone with concerns about abuse is urged to contact Police Scotland on 101, or in an emergency, always dial 999. Reports can also be made anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
