Road policing officers provided road safety advice to visitors arriving at Edinburgh Airport
Road policing officers welcomed visitors arriving at Edinburgh airport on Wednesday, 6 August, 2025, engaging with tourists collecting hire vehicles to remind them of road safety advice while driving in Scotland.
Officers were on hand at the airport’s rental building to offer friendly advice on a range of topics, including navigating country roads, adhering to speed limits, and the importance of always keeping to the left-hand side of the road.
As part of the initiative, tourists were given wristbands displaying the message ‘drive on the left’ in several languages, serving as a reminder during their stay.
Constable Kevin Lynch said: “We want everyone visiting Scotland to have a safe and enjoyable trip. Our roads, particularly rural and single-track routes can be unfamiliar to overseas drivers, so it’s important that visitors are aware and drive with care. We remain committed to ensuring our roads remain safe and promoting road safety.”
