Officers carry out retail crime operation in Aberdeen

Four people have been arrested as part of a day of action targeting retail crime in Aberdeen.

A 41-year-old woman and two men, aged 38 and 48, were arrested regarding outstanding apprehension warrants and a total of 35 retail crimes were detected due to action associated with the day.

Reports will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.

A 42-year-old woman was charged in connection with drug offences after a quantity of heroin and crack cocaine was recovered.

She is due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Monday, 18 August, 2025.

Detective Sergeant Dave Williamson said: “Tackling shoplifting and other forms of retail crime is a priority in the city centre and local officers will continue to work alongside Retail Crime Taskforce, and other partners to identify offenders and bring them to justice.”
